Dr. Walker received both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees from the University of Illinois with his D.V.M. being awarded in 1974.
He joined the NEAMC staff (then the Westbridge Veterinary Hospital) in 1981. He has interests in surgery and dentistry.
Dr. Walker and his wife are both licensed wildlife rehabilitators. Over the years they have shared their home with dogs, a very vocal Siamese cat, an Umbrella cockatoo, a tortoise, and an assortment of Koi. They frequently provide foster care for orphaned and injured wildlife.
